The Carman Beavers are one win away from capturing their second South Eastern Manitoba Hockey League championship in three years.

Aaron Lewadniuk and Mitch O’Brien scored two goals each as the Beavers defeated the Altona Maroons 6-3 Saturday night in Carman.

Jack Lotscher and Dale Butland also scored for the Beavers who lead the best-of-seven final three games to none.

Lewadniuk scored his two goals 34 seconds apart late in the second period which extended Carman’s lead to 5-1.

Brent Toews, Blair MacAulay and Mitch Doell replied for the Maroons.

Carman goaltender Steve Christie made 26 saves in game three while Altona netminder Jayme Janzen faced 42 shots.

Game four goes Tuesday night at Sunflower Gardens in Altona.
