Three Pembina Valley Hawks will be continuing their hockey careers after this season in the Manitoba Female "AAA" Midget Hockey League.

"I'm very excited and very excited for my schooling," said Alyssa Alderson, who is joining Erin Doherty and Kenzie Heide at Assiniboine Community College next year. "I'm happy to be able to play hockey while I get my education."

These three players will be joining former Hawks Brooke Drummond and Lindsay Michiels.

"I think it's good that I'll be with some of the same girls. I'm definitely looking forward to playing with the same girls, but I am also looking forward to meeting new girls and playing with people I have never met before," said Doherty.

The Cougars recently started playing in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Women's Division 2.

"I'm most excited to get to know the new coaches, meet some new people, definitely experience the new playing style, and different teams, after playing in this league for a couple of years," said Heide. "I think joining a different league will be very interesting and provide a different outlook."
