Cole Kehler was recalled by the Los Angeles Kings on Friday.

The 20-year-old Altona native has appeared in one game this season.

That was with the ECHL’s Manchester Monarchs.

Kehler made 28 saves in the Monarchs 4-3 loss to the Maine Mariners back on October 24.

L.A. is hurting in the crease as Jonathon Quick and Jack Campbell are both sidelined with knee injuries and are not expected back until mid-December.

Cal Peterson and Peter Budaj are already on the Kings roster and Kehler is the teams insurance policy if Budaj can’t overcome an illness he’s dealing with.

Peterson stopped 34 shots on Friday night as Los Angeles opened a three-game road trip with a 2-1 shootout victory over the Blackhawks in Chicago.
