The South East Prairie Thunder's Allan Cup run is over.

The Prairie Thunder dropped a 4-2 decision to the Rosetown Red Wings in the quarterfinals Thursday in Lacombe, Alberta.

Devon LeBlanc and Ian Lowe scored power play goals for the two-time Allan Cup champions who suffered their earliest exit since a 3-2 quarterfinal loss to the Kenora Thistles in Dundas, Ontario in 2014.

Jordan Johnston, Jared Jagow, Kyle Ireland and Zachery Zadorozniak did the goal scoring for the Red Wings who led 3-0 until LeBlanc scored with two minutes left in the second period.

Zadorozniak restored Rosetown's three-goal lead when he beat Prairie Thunder netminder Steve Christie 5:38 into the third period.

Christie finished the night with 23 saves.

Red Wings goaltender Nikolas Amundrud faced 41 shots.

Rosetown will meet the host Lacombe Generals and Innisfail will face the defending champion Stoney Creek Generals in the semifinals.
