The South East Prairie Thunder will need to go on a three-game winning streak if they intend on bringing the Allan Cup back to Manitoba.
The Prairie Thunder lost 4-1 to the Haut-Madawaska Panthers Wednesday night at the 2019 Allan Cup in Lacombe, Alberta.
Brock Nixon had the lone goal for the Prairie Thunder who enjoyed a 1-0 lead after the first period.
Keith Sexton and Justin Bowers scored power play goals for the Panthers in the middle frame.
South East finished the round robin with a 1 and 1 record.
The Thunder will face the Rosetown Red Wings today at 5 p.m. and that winner will advance to the semifinals on Friday.
