A young man from Altona found himself in some legal trouble while cruising through Ontario earlier this week.

The 18 year old was arrested Wednesday night near Thunder Bay, Ont. after O.P.P. officers responded to reports of a fuel theft at a gas station on an area highway. The local man was a passenger in the suspect vehicle.

Once located, police checked the license plates of the car and discovered it had been stolen from Manitoba.

The driver, charged with stealing the fuel, was turned over to Thunder Bay police.

The Altona man is charged with breach of probation and possession of stolen property over $5,000.
