The Rosenort Credit Union (RCU) is now full service.

Staff celebrated the Altona branch re-opening, which included an expansion and one new hire.

"We're gone full service, that means we have an ATM out in our lobby that's accessible 24/7," said Altona Branch Manager Steve Giesbrecht.

"We're offering cash services inside the branch which allows us to dispense cash," he added.

Giesbrecht noted this was made possible because the Altona RCU has been well supported by the community.

"We're very happy with the response we've had from people," he said.

Giesbrecht believes a reason for the success, and what sets RCU apart, is the management style that a smaller organization can have.

"We're able to react fairly quickly," he said. "We can deal with unique requests from our membership with a fairly flat management structure, and turnaround time on some of those requests, with a positive answer, is fairly quick."

RCU currently has branches in Altona, Rosenort and Winkler. Giesbrecht said there are no current plans to expand further at this time.
