With many folks eager to bid farewell to 2021, the MLA for Borderland is reflecting about the many long-term strides that were made throughout the constituency.

Josh Guenter

Josh Guenter says it was a year of investments. "Obviously there's the $64-million expansion at Boundary Trails Health Centre, which is so significant for the region. It will benefit our region long after the pandemic is gone. There's the announcement to bring Highway 201 up to an RTAC standard from Dominion City to Highway 59."

The provincial government also allocated $1.5-million for upgrades to roads in numerous communities in the RM of Stanley, including Reinfeld, Hochfeld, Schanzenfeld, Blumenfeld, and Thornhill.

The extensive drought was also a big focus Guenter in 2021. "I was able to welcome $10-million in upgrades to the Letellier Water Treatment Plant, which is something I have spent some time lobbying very hard for."
