The Jewellery Donation Program at Nine Lives Fashions in Carman continues to benefit the community. The most recent benefactor is the Kin Splash Zone which is scheduled to open this summer in Carman.

Nine Lives Owner, Marge Warkentin, recently presented $1,100 to the project, boosting the total funds raised for the splash pad this year to $2,450.

Over the past 7 years, Nine Lives has donated a total of $12,621 to seven local agencies including Carman Palliative Care, the Carman and Area Family Resource Centre, Carman Collegiate Theatre, the Carman HandiVan, Carman-Dufferin Habitat for Humanity, Boyne Regional Library, and now Kin Splash Zone.

The program is there for anyone to bring in jewellery that they aren't using anymore. It is then put it on display and as people want something, they put money in a donation box. That money then goes directly to a pre-selected local organization or project.

Donations made to the Jewellery program in 2018 will be forwarded to Carman’s new Personal Care Home.
