Organizers say the 51st Morden Corn and Apple Festival continued to draw huge crowds from across the province and U.S, with attendees coming from as far away as Newfoundland and Labrador.

Festival Chair Jocelyne Durand says the event's success is tied to its volunteer's efforts.

"They really, really work hard, and it's only because of all of their help we have a festival as successful as it is," she says.

Saturday headliner Donna Huber, better known as Shania Twin, says performing in Morden was a great experience, "The crowds are amazing, because they just love the music," she says. "I feel really blessed I'm able to go up and sing Shania Twain."

Morden Deputy Fire Chief Tim Reimer, with the winning Morden Fire Department team, says participating was a great way to support the United Way.

"With the thingsUnited Ways do for the community, and everywhere in general, they're huge supporters in every way all around," he says.

Money raised at the event will go into the United Way campaign fund, to support non-profit organizations in Morden
