Public health officials advise four new deaths in people with COVID-19 are being reported today:

a female in her 90s from Prairie Mountain Health region linked to an unspecified variant of concern (reported Sunday);
a female in her 50s from Interlake–Eastern health region linked to an unspecified variant of concern (reported Sunday);
a female in her 100s from Interlake–Eastern health region linked to an unspecified variant of concern (reported Sunday); and
a male in his 80s from Southern Health–Santé Sud health region (reported Monday).

Today's five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 5.9 per cent provincially and 3.1 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30 a.m. today, 399 new cases of the virus have been identified since Friday: 140 cases on Saturday, Nov. 13; 102 cases on Sunday, Nov. 14; and 157 cases today. This includes:

Seven cases have been removed due to data correction. The total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba is 65,763.

There were 157 new cases identified in Manitoba today. Of these, 81 are in individuals who were not fully vaccinated. This includes:

Interlake-Eastern - 6 cases, two not fully vaccinated

Northern - 31 cases, 13 not fully vaccinated

Prairie Mountain - 12 cases, 8 not fully vaccinated

Southern Health - 72 cases, 41 not fully vaccinated

Winnipeg - 36 cases, 17 not fully vaccinated

Today’s data also shows:

1,499 active cases and 62,991 individuals who have recovered from COVID-19;
146 Manitobans hospitalized with COVID-19 including 111 people with active COVID-19 as well as 35 people who are no longer infectious;
a total of 31 Manitoba patients receiving intensive care for COVID-19 including 24 people in intensive care units with active COVID-19 as well as seven people who are no longer infectious but continue to require critical care;
2,589 laboratory tests were completed yesterday, bringing the total number of lab tests completed since early February 2020 to 1,132,908; and
the total number of deaths in people with COVID-19 is 1,273.

Portage District General Hospital Dialysis Unit in Portage la Prairie.
The facilities have been moved to Critical (Red) level on the Pandemic Response System.

Outbreaks have been declared at:

Westdale School, Grade 6-1, in Winnipeg.
The class has been moved to remote learning and the school moved to the restricted (orange) level on the Pandemic Response System.

The outbreak at River Heights School, kindergarten cohort, in Brandon has been declared over. The school has returned to the Caution (Yellow) level on the Pandemic Response System.

Families of personal care home (PCH) residents are reminded that effective today, Monday, Nov. 15, all designated family caregivers will be required to provide proof of full vaccination upon each entry to their loved one’s PCH.

Individuals who are not fully vaccinated will be able to visit as a general visitor, by appointment, and in a visitation shelter or other designated location. Families are advised to be in contact with PCH operators directly with any questions related to scheduling of appointments.
