Public health officials advise four new deaths in people with COVID-19 are being reported today:

a female in her 60s from the Southern Health-Sante Sud health region (reported Friday);
a male in his 60s from the Southern Health-Sante Sud health region (reported Friday) linked to an unspecified variant of concern;
a male in his 70s from the Prairie Mountain Health region (reported Saturday) linked to the outbreak declared at Benito Personal Care Home and an unspecified variant of concern; and
a female in her 70s from Northern health region (reported Monday).

Today's five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 4.6 per cent provincially and 1.6 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30 a.m. today, 483 new cases of the virus have been identified since Friday: 141 cases on Friday, Oct 29; 97 cases Saturday, Oct 30 and 149 cases Sunday, October 31 and 96 cases today. This includes:

40 cases in the Interlake-Eastern health region;
41 cases in the Northern health region;
41 cases in the Prairie Mountain health region;
266 cases in the Southern Health-Santé Sud health region; and
95 cases in the Winnipeg health region.

Seven cases have been removed due to data correction. The total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba is 63,688.

There were 96 new cases identified in Manitoba today. Of these, 70 are in individuals not fully vaccinated. This includes:

13 new cases with 10 not fully vaccinated in the Interlake-Eastern health region;
eight new cases with three not fully vaccinated in the Northern health region;
eight new cases with five not fully vaccinated in the Prairie Mountain health region;
45 new cases with 37 not fully vaccinated in the Southern Health-Santé Sud health region; and
22 new cases with 15 not fully vaccinated in the Winnipeg health region.

Today’s data also shows:

1,273 active cases and 61,167 individuals who have recovered from COVID-19;
98Manitobans hospitalized with COVID-19 including 71 people with active COVID-19 as well as 27 people who are no longer infectious;
a total of 25 Manitoba patients receiving intensive care for COVID-19 including 20 people in intensive care units with active COVID-19 as well as five people who are no longer infectious but continue to require critical care;
1,954laboratory tests were completed yesterday, bringing the total number of lab tests completed since early February 2020 to 1,092,303; and
the total number of deaths in people with COVID-19 is 1,248.

Outbreaks have been declared at:

École Régionale Notre-Dame, grade 11/12 class in Notre Dame de Lourdes. Non-immunized students are self isolating and the school has been moved to the Restricted (Orange) level on the #RestartMB Pandemic Response System.
