Altona Police Service is advising of another Canada Revenue Agency scam. This time it's an email scam indicating the CRA sent an INTERAC e-Transfer and the recipient must click a link in order to receive the deposit.

If you receive such an email police strongly urge you to not open the link but simply delete the email and report the scam to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre online.

The public is reminded that the CRA would not be sending out emails, you would instead receive a letter in the mail with very specific information.
