Friesens Corporation in Altona has merged two of its subsidiary operations to create a newly branded company.

Friesens Packaging and think4D have amalgamated to form a new entity called - Think 4D Inc.

Mike Fehr, Senor VP of Packaging, explains it all started 10 years ago when the technology that registers thermal-forming to print, was introduced.

The new brand will now provide Custom Rigid Boxes in addition to other packaging components."It wasn't recognized by many people because the Friesen name is so recognized locally, but we began building the brand name of think4D in the packaging world. We met with hundreds of the world's largest brands and they are beginning to recognize the name even though we still a very small company, but our technology is different enough that it opened doors for us. So we had great opportunities to meet brands, we had great opportunities to solve their problems and quickly gained a reputation around that."

Under the merger, think4D Inc. will now provide Custom Rigid Boxes in addition to other packaging components.

The new brand will operate out of the Friesens Corporation glass front building located on 6th Street which will provide about 80,000 square feet. Fehr says that gives them the space to grow their products into the future.

The company says its award-winning package designs speak for themselves in telling their unique stories.
