Work to rebuild the Highway 14 curves at Plum Coulee is coming along nicely. Larry Halayko is with Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation and he said motorists are already driving on the new section of highway.

"Crews have completed installing the culverts on the project and pretty much finished milling the old asphalt that's out there."

He added the new curves could get paved as early as this weekend. "I just ask all the motorists to obey the signs and reduce their speeds through the work zone area, it is going to be a little bit busier with the paving going on."

When asked when he expects the project to wrap, Halayko said work should be completed by the end of September. As for the the old curves, they will eventually be torn up and levelled.
