After serving as interim Principal at Carman Collegiate since February, Jeffrey Latimer will take over the position full-time this coming fall.

Latimer first came to Prairie Rose School Division as Vice Principal of Carman Collegiate in September 2016. Before that he was Vice Principal/physical education teacher at

He is currently completing a Masters of Education with an Administration Major at Brandon University.

A Prairie Rose School Division news release outlines that Latimer believes that today’s schools must adapt to support today’s learners in achieving high academic standards. The new Principal also believes that positive and connecting relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community are important feature of a successful school.

The Division also states that Latimer's personality, work ethic, leadership skills, and commitment to improving student engagement will provide Carman Collegiate with a strong leadership foundation.

Latimer's appointment as Principal of Carman Collegiate is effective September 5, 2017.
