King's Park campground in the Town of Carman has been housing many campers this summer.

Angie Shindle, manager of recreation services for Carman-Dufferin Recreation, attributes the campground's location for its popularity.

“Being right across from the pool, the park, the golf course as well - we're right kind of accessible to a bunch of different activities that go on in our community,” she said.

The Carman Country Fair happening mid July has also been reeling in campers, and is the reason almost all 42 serviced sites are booked for the weekend, said Shindle.

Shindle also said they have not had any major issues yet, and weather has been cooperating for the most part.

In the future Shindle said the recreation office is looking forward to implementing online booking for campers, instead of telephone registration.
