The Lowe Farm Co-op is giving back about $217,000 in equity for 2015.

Cheques were handed out to about 55 members last Thursday at the organization's Annual General Meeting.

General Manager Jason Rheault notes overall the year was good, although sales were affected by the drop in oil.

"We had a good year, obviously the sales are down a little bit mostly due to deflation in the petroleum commodity," he said. "The price of fuel being less than it was a year prior, but overall the year was a good year. A good bottom line and a good cash refund back to members."

Rheault notes two new members will join the board of the Lowe Farm Co-op this year. They include Gerry Kleinsasser and Benji Hofer.

Highlights from the past year included the purchase of a new fuel truck and pump, interior upgrades, and some office renovations.

One item that will on the agenda for the upcoming year includes a feasibility study that will look at adding a fertilizer blending facility at the location. Rheault is hoping to see the fertilizer component up and running in the spring of 2017.

The Lowe Farm Co-op offers bulk petroleum, a card lock, crop inputs, ag equipment, hardware, and a garage.
