Thousands of participants gathered together all across Manitoba and Canada on Sunday, May 27th for Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries MS Walks. The annual events held across Canada help raise awareness and crucial funds for people with multiple sclerosis.

This year's walk in Morden was at the Access Event Centre.

"We join more than 140 communities across Canada who have raised millions of dollars to help Canadians affected by MS," says Claire Agnew, a volunteer organizer whose sister, Joan, has been affected by MS.

To help kick off the walk, the Morden Message Therapy Centre donated $900 to the MS Society.

So far, the event in Morden has raised nearly $16,000.

Money raised goes towards world-leading research in Canada, helping improve the quality of life for those affected by MS.
