June 5th, 2017

While on general patrol, police observed spray paint on two separate stop signs in Morden.  A stop sign at the corner of Route 100 and Jefferson Street was spray-painted red so the word “Stop”was no longer visible.  A second stop sign at the corner of Route 100 and Grant Street had the word “Trump” spray-painted on it.   Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to call the Morden Police Service at 822-4900, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, submit a secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com or text “TIPMAN” plus your message to CRIMES (274637).


June 5th, 2017

June 7th, 2017

Police have a Warrant for Arrest for Joshua Andrew Baker of Carman, Manitoba.  Baker is wanted on two counts of failing to comply with conditions of his sentence or disposition.  Anyone with information regarding Baker’s whereabouts is asked to call the Morden Police Service at 822-4900, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, submit a secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com or text “TIPMAN” plus your message to CRIMES (274637).


June 9th, 2017

Police are investigating a report of a fraud involving the theft and forgery of personal cheques that were taken from a residence in Morden.  The cheques were forged and cashed at local banks in Morden and Winkler.  Police are continuing their investigation.  

During this period, members of the Morden Police Service issued 12 Provincial Offence Notices to motorists.  Out of these Offence Notices, 4 were issued for Drivers using their cell phones or other hand operated electronic devices while driving a vehicle, 3 for driving without drivers liability insurance and 5 for driving an unregistered vehicle.
