A Morden man is facing a number of drug-related charges including possession of meth with the purpose of trafficking.

On May 10, Morden Police officers on general patrol observed a vehicle driving without a front plate and burnt-out headlight. The vehicle was pulled over and when speaking with the occupants, police observed a clear ziplock bag containing a crystal substance believed to be meth between the legs of the driver and subsequently entered into a drug investigation. As a result of this investigation, three adults were charged.

A 28-year-old female from Glenella was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and released on an Undertaking to appear in Morden Provincial Court in August.

A 51-year-old male from Haywood was charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance and released on an Appearance Notice to Appear in Morden Provincial Court in August.

A 54-year-old male from Morden was charged with five counts of Failing to Comply with his Release Order, one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and one count of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. He was remanded into custody and appeared in Winnipeg Provincial Court.
