"It truely has become a community building month." That from Myra Peters, Executive Director at the Winkler Community Foundation.

The event took place May 8 in Winkler

Along with many others events held this last month, there was a free bike tuneup held on May 8th for the community, with contributions from Dr. CW Wiebe Medical Centre, Eden Foundation, Country Cycle, Time Out Sports, and White Cap.

Peters notes that there has been many small acts of kindness that she has noticed happen in Winkler, adding the Pay It Forward May campaign brings more awareness to random acts of kindness even though these types of acts still happen throughout the year.

Many people have also shared and spread the news of multiple acts of kindness through social media.

"How it affects the next person, we don't know, but yet we know that it makes a difference and we'd like to say thank you," says Peters.
