With the help of government funding, Rosenort's Industrial Park will soon be one step closer toward completion.

A federal/provincial grant called the New Building Canada Plan's Small Community Fund will be spreading $20-million in funding over municipal infrastructure projects in the region, $802,082 of that total will be given to the R.M. of Morris.

Reeve Ralph Groening said this amount will be used to begin the final stage of construction on the half-mile long road in Rosenort's Industrial Park. The remaining $400,000 of the total $2.1-million cost will be covered by local contributions, he said.

"The significance of this project is considerable ... it begins the final completion of the infrastructure for our 100-acre industrial park, which started about 15 years ago," he said.

Groening said he expects the project to be finished late next year or in early 2019. The first step, though, will be reviewing the budget and accepting tenders.
