Southern Health-Santé Sud wants to know how they are doing in terms of accessibility.  Until Monday, February 20th, individuals can take part in an online survey to offer some valuable information.

Brad street is a disability case coordinator for the RHA, and also chairs the committee on accessibility.  He says the survey is also part of gathering information from the community related to the Accessibility for Manitobans Act.

Street says they want to know what peoples' experiences have been in regards to accessing the RHA's services and facilities.  He says the barriers and obstacles can be in a few different categories, such as systemic.  "So what our policies are saying and how we go about doing our business.  It could be technological, so how we use technology to communicate information.  It could also be physical or architectural, so parts of our bricks and mortars, and getting into our buildings."

The survey can be found online at southernhealth.ca, and will only take about five minutes to complete, noted Street.

He said the feedback will help identify the successes they've had, and where they do well in those areas, but as well it will give them insight to where they can do things differently.
