STARS Air Ambulance was dispatched to a two vehicle collision on a rural road south of Winkler, and west of Highway 32, and north of Schanzenfeld.

The accident happened at approximately 4:00.
    
Cam Heke, a spokesperson with STARS, confirmed one passenger was ejected from one of the vehicles.

After landing at the scene the STARS air medical crew, including a critical care nurse and paramedic, went with a patient in a ground ambulance to the Boundary Trails Hospital.  In an update received at 7:00 pm, Wednesday evening, STARS informed PembinaValleyOnline.com that the crew, was at the time stabilizing the patient who is in critical condition, and planned to transport the patient to the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg.
