Manitoba musician Rosemary Siemens received her dream proposal last weekend, one she shared with hundreds on stage and thousands more online.

Her fiance and fellow award-winning musician, jazz saxophonist Eli Bennet surprised Rosemary, secretly arriving in Gretna and interrupted her concert by walking in and playing 'Can't Help Falling In Love With You'.

The song has special meaning to the couple, Siemens originally dedicated her rendition of the song to Bennet on Valentine's day.

Bennet then produced an engagement ring from his saxophone and in front of hundreds of friends and family proposed on stage.

He notes Siemens had mentioned her perfect proposal would be at a hometown show.

"And she would love a viral video, and I pulled it off," he says.

The video has gone on to receive over 80,000 views and international attention online.

Siemens says the moment came as a perfect surprise.

"I was so shocked because he was on tour and I had talked to him during the day and he was on the bus," she says. "So I didn't think there was any possibility of him being there."

"When I heard the saxophone... I couldn't believe it, he wasn't physically supposed to be there," Siemens says. "I was in complete shock, all I could do is laugh."

However, the couple had only a few minutes to celebrate before Bennet had to rush back to his own concert in Winnipeg that same night.

"But it was the best 20 minutes ever," Siemens says.

For Siemens the Have A Little Faith Tour continues with her new fiance as special guest West through Saskatchewan to B.C.
