A 15-year-old male was arrested this morning after a dangerous joy ride in Winkler.

Winkler Police Service received a report of a stolen vehicle at approximately 8:00 a.m Thursday. The vehicle was reported driving at a high rate of speed through residential yards, around school busses and past stop signs in the area of Grandeur Ave.

Officers responded and with assistance from Morden Police located the vehicle on 15th St. Police executed a controlled stop of the vehicle and arrested the teen for danger operation of a motor vehicle and possessing property obtained by crime. The male has been released on a promise to appear in the Youth Justice Court and an undertaking with several conditions.
