Manitobans living with multiple sclerosis have another useful resource for getting information about the disease and how to cope with its symptoms.

Ada Jane Okonkwo is the Community Connections Coordinator with the Manitoba division of the MS Society of Canada, and says one of their most successful initiatives is a teleconferencing program that connects speakers with members of the MS community. Okonkwo notes it doesn't matter where you live---you could be in Ontario, in Alberta, or right here in Manitoba.

She says as long as you're affected by MS or you have a family member affected by MS, you can call their 800 number and you'll be connected to a virtual education session.

Okonkwo notes you can talk about anything you want to discuss. She adds it's very exciting to see the growth and the potential for programs such as this one. You can find more information on the MS Society's website.
