Manitoba Infrastructure spent some time in Ste. Agathe earlier this month, staring at the Highway 75 and Provincial Road 305 intersection.

Larry Halayko is Executive Director of Construction and Maintenance. Halayko says with recent development in the business park there, they chose to update their traffic counts in the area.

Halayko says traffic counts is only one of the factors that help determine whether an intersection warrants traffic lights. While he says it is not automatic that the Highway 75/ 305 intersection will one day have lights, this study will help them in their decision making.Halayko says these traffic counts are done every couple of years in order to study growth patterns and determine how traffic is flowing.

Crews were in Ste. Agathe for a couple of days.
