Two Winkler residents are in custody and quantities of cocaine, meth and fentanyl seized after a drug bust in Winkler.

The Winkler Police Service, with assistance from the Morden Police Service and the Regional Support Tactical Team, executed a search warrant in the 400 block of Park St. Sunday.

Four suspects were initially taken into custody and police seized approximately 10.5 grams of cocaine, approximately 11 grams of methamphetamine, a small quantity of fentanyl, and $410 cash believed to be proceeds of drug trafficking.

A 26-year-old female from Winkler was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Fentanyl, and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime. She was released on a Promise to Appear with an Undertaking and is set to appear in Morden Provincial Court on August 27, 2019.

A 34-year-old male from Winkler was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Fentanyl, and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime. He was held in custody and appeared in Portage la Prairie Provincial Court on July 15, 2019.

Two adult males were released without charges.
