A Winkler resident launched her book titled 'Living Our Prayer' at the Convenant Mennonite Church last week.

Betty Enns' book reflects on her life in the 1990s when she and her husband, Bill, spent four years in Lesotho, Africa, a landlocked country located near the middle of South Africa. At the time, the two were working with MCC and AIMM on a missions trip in and around the city of Maseru and the highlands.

The Enns' were eventually pulled from Lesotho due to ongoing violent conflicts in the country. Despite having to leave, they maintained a deep connection with the church leaders as well as continuous financial support.

The book "will puncture the ballon of easy answers," and will show "a gritty, transparent and vulnerable testimony of faithfulness," said Robert Suderman, the General Secretary of Mennonite Church Canada.

The book took around four years to write, Enns said, as she pulled material from her journals and reports.

All net profits from Enns' book will assist the people whom she has written about.
