There was a drowning at Caddy Lake early Saturday morning. Falcon Lake RCMP say they were called shortly before 4:00 a.m. about a man who had gone out for a swim and was missing. The man's body was recovered and he was rushed to hospital in Kenora where he was pronounced dead. Police say the victim is a 26 year-old male from the Winnipeg area. They add alcohol appears to have been a factor in the drowning.

There was also a drowning at Bird's Hill Park on Saturday. A 22 year-old male from Winnipeg was on an outing with a youth choir when he disappeared in the water. His body was found a few hours later.
