An authentic experience is what you will find if you visit the Pembina Threshermen’s Museum (PTM) located on the south side of the highway running between Morden and Winkler.

Today the museum hosted one of three ‘A Day in the Life of a Pioneer’ experiences that they have planned for the summer. If you attend ‘A Day in the Life of a Pioneer’, you will learn about the history of Manitoban pioneers that immigrated to the prairies in the late 1800’s.

The museum grounds allow visitors to take a look into old buildings like the General Store, so that visitors can understand the craftsmanship of the late nineteenth century to early twentieth century.

Attending ‘A Day in the Life of a Pioneer’ means you get to tour the Blacksmith shop, the Schoolhouse, the Sod House, and many other genuine buildings. Visitors are given a Morning Chores list, that demonstrates daily preparations a pioneer had to do every day, like milk the cows or feed the chickens; visitors are encouraged to try out the chores, too!

Pembina Threshermen’s Museum meshes interactive learning with fun to create a memorable experience. The next ‘A Day in the Life of a Pioneer’ day will take place on August 6th.
