The 12th annual Agriculture Awareness Day is taking place Tuesday, March 21 at the Manitoba Legislative Building.

The event, which is formalized in the Farm and Food Awareness Act, sets aside the third Tuesday of March each year to highlight and celebrate the significant role that agriculture plays in the Manitoba economy.

This year's theme is "Farmers - The Most Trusted Source on Food."

The focus will be on the importance of trust between consumers and our food system and will celebrate successful public trust building in Manitoba.
