"What a great day for a golf tournament!" That from Adam Monteith, Chief Marketing Officer for Access Credit Union, at the 2021 Access Charity Golf Tournament Wednesday in Morden.

"We had great turnout in support of a great cause," he added. "Just seeing the smiling faces come off of the course, it feels so good to finally, after so many months of not being able to put on a great tournament, here we are doing something great."

In total, the tournament raised $68,509 for Project 11, a mental health awareness program for students in Manitoba run through the True North Youth Foundation.

"Great partners to work with. A great impactful cause helping our youth through some of their mental health stresses and issues. We're just glad to be a part of that," added Monteith.

In a statement posted to ACU's website, President and CEO Larry Davey said, "“In choosing Project 11, we evaluated proposals from various organizations, and considered geographical reach, and the impact on their communities served. Project 11’s focus on proactively addressing mental health awareness with our young people and in our local schools aligned greatly with our commitment to the continued health and safety of everyone in our communities."
