It was a first-time partnership for this year's Tim Horton's Smile Cookie Campaign in Winkler and Morden.

For the first time, one hundred percent of the proceeds from the week-long campaign at both locations were given to the Boundary Trails Health Centre Foundation (B.T.H.C.F.).

Over forty volunteers pitched in during the week, decorating and delivering 25,000 cookies.

Foundation Executive Director, Shannon Samette-Folkette says they're so grateful to be getting over $40,000.

"To us, that's a huge success. I am so grateful to everybody who contributed. Volunteers. Tim Hortons. Everybody put in a lot of work."

"We had a lot of businesses who stepped up to match sales of cookies, or just dollars for the day, which increased our amount to over $40,000 for the week. So for that, we're super grateful."

Samette-Folkette noted there were over 40 volunteers that helped decorate and deliver cookies, and greet customers in the store.

"The staff are amazing," shared Samette-Folkette about the time spent last week between the Winkler and Morden locations. "They let us in behind the counters and by the drive-thru. We were in their space and they were so cheerful every day."

The Foundation supports medical equipment purchases for the hospital and BTHC's Spiritual Care and Palliative Care programs.
