Each year at Manitoba AG DAYS, funds raised through the 50/50 Draw, as well as gate fees, all go into the 'Ag Days Gives Back' initiative.

Earlier this week, Ag Days awarded community grants, scholarships to support Ag education, and community initiatives across the province, for a total of $50,000, says Media Coordinator for Manitoba Ag Days, Teresa Hildebrand.

"We had a great turnout for applications, and we were able to give 17 community grants and three scholarships this year," she explains. "We had representation from each quadrant of the province and this year the grant was open to any type of non-profit organization. So, we had a huge variety of different types of projects and community initiatives that we were supporting."

By the closing of the show Thursday at 5:30 pm, the take home amount was $55,680 and that number is growing until midnight tonight! By the writing of this article the jackpot was sitting at $124,390 This means that there will be more than $62,000 given back into community projects at the AG DAYS 2025 show!

Last year's 50/50 brought in just under $35,000 to the winner of the draw, and $35,000 went into the 'Ag Days Gives Back' which was topped off with the gate fees.  Online sales continue until midnight Thursday.

"It has been so nice to see so many people come out in spite of the chilly weather," shares Hildebrand. "We really appreciate that support!  And the energy on that first day of everyone excited to get through the door and see what is new and innovative.  That energy continued right through!  Meeting up with old friends! Meet up with new friends!  It was just a really positive atmosphere throughout!"

"Thanks to everyone who came out and who participated in this year's 50/50 which supports Ag Days Gives Back 2025!"

This year's 50/50 winner will be announced at 9:00am on Friday, January 19th.
