"Be kind. Let's avoid stigmatizing people, let's avoid calling out individuals, let's work together, we're in this together."

That from Manitoba's Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin, who says we're not done with this virus yet as the province saw an uptick in cases over the weekend.

"All Manitobans have really stepped up," he adds. "Let's continue to be kind to each other and we'll get through this."

18 new cases of COVID-19 were identified over the weekend, bringing Manitoba's total to 354.

One individual is in intensive care, there are 29 active cases and 318 people have recovered. The number of deaths remains at seven.

Officials say the recent high case count is due to several factors including an outbreak in several Hutterite colonies, along with international travel-related cases, and one transport driver.
