UPDATE - Friday, February 18th, 2022 - As a Blizzard Warning continues throughout Southern Manitoba, and northwesterly wind gusts up to 80 km/h continue to slash through the region, several highways were closed earlier in the day. As of 5:30 p.m. Friday all highways had reopened in the region.
As the ridge departs tomorrow morning, strong southerlies will develop ahead of yet another low pressure system. A further 5 to 10 cm of snow is also forecast with this system before a drier pattern takes hold next week.
The scene Friday morning around 1030am just north of the Emerson port of entry on Highway 75
