When John Friesen purchased the remaining shares in Avenue Polaris Kawasaki South from Kirk and Dave Gyselinck, he knew a “tune-up” of the name was in order.

Now open as Borderland Powersports, Friesen and his team (Luke and Bryan in Parts, Melissa in Service, Cal in Sales, and Rodney and Blaine in the Shop) continue to provide a variety of Polaris and Kawasaki products – including ATVs, Side by Sides, Jet Skis, and Snowmobiles.

“These are great manufacturers to work with,” Friesen said. “Like Borderland Powersports, they have a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.”

Friesen also notes their relationship to ag customers, providing sales and service to the ag industry, as well as a full line-up of parts, accessories, and apparel for every season.

In celebration of the new name and updated dealership look, Borderland Powersports is hosting a Grand Opening on Thursday, July 13th, from 9am to 1pm. The entire community is invited to meet the new staff, see the new signs, enjoy some free food, and of course – find great deals on parts and gear.

Those unable to attend the Grand Opening Celebration are encouraged to stop by for a visit, especially those looking to upgrade their powersports equipment. While Friesen is proud to have an improved in stock selection, he knows consumers are hungry to get their hands on these vehicles.
