A 45-year old Carman man has a court date next month in Morden to face a number of drug related charges. 

In the afternoon of January 16th, members of the Morden Police Service conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in relation to a drug investigation.

Police observed the driver to be acting in a suspicious manner and further checks revealed the driver had an invalid licence.

With the assistance of the Winkler Police Service, police arrested both the driver and a passenger for Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking.

During a search of the vehicle, police located approximately 38 grams of methamphetamine, a scale, cellphones, cash and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.

The 45-year-old Carman man has been charged with Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking. re: Methamphetamine.

The accused was remanded into police custody and transported to the Winnipeg Remand Centre. He has since been released on conditions to appear in Morden Provincial Court in February.
