The search for 9 year old Cornell Nelson has come to a successful end.

According to the Winkler Police Service, the Winkler boy has been found safe after an extensive search that included assistance from the Morden Police Service, Winkler Fire Department and Pembina Triangle Search and Rescue. No other details are known at this time. 

The boy walked away from his home Tuesday evening in Winkler, and had last been seen about an hour later.

The Winkler Police Service thanks all those who helped spread the word on social media, searched the community and called in tips.
