A handful of dedicated local volunteers have been selected among 150 Manitobans to receive the Honour 150 award.

Presented by Canada Life, the award recognizes individuals who give back to the community and enrich the places in which we live, work, play, and come together in unity.

Among the winners is Clare Agnew, a Morden resident who, for 30 years, has been sinking her teeth into nearly every project that has crossed her path.

Also receiving the Honour 150 award is community leader, Gary Gilmour of Winkler.

Carman's Dennis Young and Altona's David Wiebe have also been selected for the award.

In addition, St Jean Baptiste residents Mike Gilmour and Lucien Jean, former Emerson resident Robert Felsch, Manitou volunteer Lois Creith and Robert Cesmystruck of Vita are included in the list of local individuals being recognized with the award.
