Staff at Boundary Trails Health Centre (BTHC) are the recipients of 200 meals each day for three weeks, starting Oct 5th, courtesty of The Princess Auto Foundation (PAF).

PAF released this statement as to why it is working together with local businesses to treat the staff in this way.

"We are doing this because we feel it is the right thing to do, to give back to the health care workers during these difficult times," said the Princess Auto Foundation. "We know they are working hard, they are tired, and local small businesses are also struggling, so this program supports both."

Director for BTHC, Lorraine Cassan, shares how this came about.

"They contacted us and they let us know that they wanted to donate to 100 meals at lunch and 100 meals at supper for the staff at Boundary Trails Health Center. So, we worked with them and they connected with the local restaurants in the area, both in Morden and Winkler, to supply those meals. So, they are extremely generous in a time where our staff are a little bit more worn down. This pandemic has been ongoing and it is such a great gesture of goodwill."

Cassan says grabbing a quick meal on a busy day is great for staff, and these meals will be distributed to all staff in all departments.

"We are extremely grateful for their generous donation," added Cassan.
