Only minor injuries were reported after a four vehicle collision Friday afternoon near Boundary Trails Health Centre. Pembina Valley RCMP, Winkler Fire Department and ambulance crews responded to the scene on Highway 14 westbound, near the intersection with Highway 3, in the R.M. of Stanley.
The investigation has revealed traffic was slowing or stopped due to the traffic light at Highway 3. According to RCMP, it appears the driver of one of the vehicles didn’t recognize other vehicles were slowing, and hit the vehicle in front of them, pushing it forward and creating a chain reaction of collisions with two other vehicles.
Paramedics treated patients at the scene, and no one was transported to hospital.
