Those looking for Morden Agencies downtown on the corner of Stephen and 8th Streets, will now find the insurance company at Unit E - 886 Thornhill Street off Highway 3 across from McDonald's.

After 50 years at this location, co-owner Jeff Klippenstein explained the decision to move.

"It's a tough choice to make after being somewhere for so long, but like everything else in life, things change. Traffic changes, people's habits change, and so we felt that even though downtown is quite vibrant in Morden, the traffic on the highway is just a different level of traffic and the visibility there was probably the number one reason that we were looking to move. Just to be a little more out front in the public eye, just so people could see us and recognize where we are, and who we are, and what we do."

Co-owner Jeff Klippenstein, and his partner Kyle Loutchan, joined original owner Ray Friesen in the growing business four and a half years ago.

"Same faces, although we are hiring a new person in a week or so, so that was also part of the reason we needed a little more space. The space itself, it'll be a little updated from what it was. We've modernized everything, and made everything look clean and fresh, and just try to make it an accurate representation of what we do. Where it's all very well done, professionally done, and very easy for the customers to come in and be served."

Klippenstein outlined it will be the same great service for current and new clients when they walk through the doors of the new location.

"We specialize in basically all forms of insurance, whether it's Autopac, home insurance, farm or commercial, we do it all. We've got staff that have experience and knowledge and are really customer focused. Our goal is just to do the best job we can to serve you, and to help you make the right decisions when purchasing your own insurance, whether it is Autopac, home, farm or commercial."

Klippenstein said the staff is committed to helping you make the right decision when buying insurance.

"Our job is to educate you, give you the tools you need to make the decisions. We don't make the decision for you. We just help you make that decision for yourself."

Doors to the new location opened Monday. Learn more on the Morden Agencies website.
