Morden Police arrested a 22-year-old male for assault in the early morning hours of April 20th.

At 4:30 that morning, police responded to a report of an assault in the 300-block of 6th Street.

Upon arrival, police located a victim with injuries who was transported to a hospital. The 22-year-old was remanded into custody to appear in Winnipeg Court the following day.

Meanwhile, Morden Police were called to a report of a hit and run at a business on North Railway Street last Tuesday.

The victim told police that while on foot in a parking lot, they were struck by a vehicle following a verbal confrontation.

The driver of the vehicle left the scene but was later identified and spoken to by police.

For precautionary measures, the victim did go to the hospital for examination.

Police are continuing their investigation with charges pending.
