Hundreds of constituents came out Friday to speak with Morden-Winkler MLA Cameron Friesen. The annual BBQ which alternates between Morden and Winkler was held at Crocus Park in Winkler.

Friesen notes it's a chance to say thank-you, but also remind the public that his constituency office is open to answer questions and resolve issues.

"It's here to help them to get answers from government," Friesen says. "Obviously as a minister of the crown now my time is a little more of a premium, but job number one is representing this community and making sure I'm there to answer those questions."

He says they are hearing a number of important concerns, everything from pesticide reduction to waste water concerns.

"It's good, we track these concerns, we follow up," Friesen says. "And this is often a good opportunity to bring an issue and then start down a road to get some resolution."

Friesen's constituency office is located at 108 8th Street in Morden.
