Manitoba RCMP have issued an update on Monday morning’s collision between a Border Land School Division bus and a mini van.

The incident took place at the intersection of PR 201 and Highway 306 west of Altona.

According to RCMP, the minivan was travelling west on Provincial Road 201. It stopped at the stop sign, but then entered the intersection and collided with the bus, which was travelling northbound on Highway 306.

The van was hit on the side by the bus.

Nobody was physically injured.

RCMP say charges could be laid against the driver of the van.

The investigation continues.

Border Land School Division officials are thankful no one was physically injured after one of its school buses was involved in a two-vehicle collision Monday morning.
    
Superintendent Krista Curry also thanked emergency responders who attended the scene and ensured the safety of those involved. Curry confirmed there were a few students on the bus at the time. 
    
According to Pembina Valley RCMP, the incident happened shortly before 8 am at the intersection of PR 201 and highway 306, west of Altona, and involved the school bus and a minivan.

Police continue to investigate.
