As the Olympics wrapped up last night, Canada ended the games with 14 gold medals, 4 more than the next closest country, and the most gold medals by any country ever, in a single winter Olympic Games. Our 26 toatls medals did end up 3rd in the count behind Germany's 30 and the USA's 37.  That sent me back to China in 2008, where I remembered some controversy over whether is was the country with the most gold medals that comes in 1st, or the country with the most total medals that comes in first.  See China ranked countries a little differently.

So if the most recent Olympic games ranked the highest gold medal winner, and it's that way on other websites as well, then did Canada really come in 3rd?  You decide: -Chuck
